Kelly Walker

Kelly Walker is a Licensed Cosmetologist and Healthy Hair Care Specialist with over 20 years of experience in the beauty industry. Her passion for hair began at age 14, styling classmates for special occasions. She later attended Virginia Beach Vocational Technical School for Cosmetology while completing her studies at Green Run High School, graduating from both in 1993. As her career grew, Kelly recognized that many hair concerns extended beyond traditional salon care. Wanting to better understand the connection between healthy hair, skin, and scalp, she completed a Medical Assistant program with honors and began working in dermatology. For 10 years, Kelly balanced two careers—working as a Dermatology Technician by day and Cosmetologist by night. In October 2015, she stepped out on faith, left dermatology, and transitioned full-time into the beauty industry to focus on KAAATWALK Hair Studio. Today, Kelly specializes in maintaining and restoring all hair textures to a stronger, healthier state through education, intentional care, and a scalp-first approach. Her mission is simple: to educate and empower every client to understand the importance of healthy hair, a healthy scalp, and consistent care—because at KAAATWALK, healthy hair care comes first.
